We need docents and other volunteers for the Holiday Parlor Tour!
We need you on Sunday, December 14th when we will hold our 48th Annual Holiday Parlor Tour. This tour is one day only: from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The 13 homeowners will be ready but we need your help. There is stuff that needs doing . . . and . . . you get a free ticket to the tour.
Sign up is easy Find an open slot that works for you at: https://www.signupgenius. com/go/10C054BA5AE23A5FCC07- 59109332-lafayette#/
What can you do?
1. Be a Docent. Volunteer for one of the two-hour shifts as a “docent” in one of the 13 homes on tour. What does a docent do? Well, you might staff the front door to welcome tour goers to the home and mark off the house on the tour book. Or, the homeowner might ask you to staff a particular room or hallway or the back door and talk with the tour goers about the home. Along with the homeowners, you will be the face of our restoration community.2. Be a Trolley Elf. If you are someone who is especially elf-aware, this may be for you! We have scheduled two trolleys to transport tourgoers around Lafayette Square for easier access to the homes on tour. As a Trolley Elf, you will let passengers know some facts about Lafayette Square, answer questions, and point out which home is nearest the next trolley stop. We have three two-hour Trolley Elf shifts for each trolley. So, we need six Trolley Elves. (No need to dress like an elf but feel free to come in costume.)
