The Arts Council has decided to cancel the Lafayette Square concert series for this summer.’
According to the city, the maximum occupancy for outdoor concerts is 250 people. “Individuals and organizations planning such events must fill out the COVID-19 Risk Management Form.”
For the summer concert series, 500 people would be a low turnout. And we have no way to control attendance in the park, and we do not want to police our concert-goers. Making the decision was very difficult, as we’ve held the concerts for 36 years. But we hope for great things next year.
The Arts Council is working to develop some family-oriented arts projects. Check-in later for announcements.
